Campus Escorts
The Police Department’s safety escort service is run by the Community Service Officer Program. The program plays an essential role in the department’s effort to promote safety and security on campus.
The safety escort service works through the use of the buddy system, which says that people are safer when they travel in pairs or groups than by themselves. Furthermore, CSOs carry police radios which enable them to have direct contact with Police Dispatch for assistance and during emergencies.
Safety escort hours are 5:00 pm to 2:00 am Thursday through Saturday and 5:00 pm to 1:00 am Sunday to Wednesday.
